Try Out a New Type of Treasure Hunt

GPS DeviceGoing on a hunt for buried treasure might sound like child's play, but it's actually a real activity that has been growing in popularity among all ages. Geocaching involves the hiding and seeking of containers, known as caches, using a GPS device. These caches can be as small as a matchbox or as large as a tub. Once a cache has been hidden, its latitude and longitude are recorded and the geocacher uploads the information about the cache to Geocaching.com so that others can find it. Caches can be hidden almost anywhere, from under a log in a local park to affixed to a lamp pole in a parking lot.

Whether you want to search solo, with friends, or with the entire family, you can pick a cache that fits your skill level. Visit Geocaching.com to get started. All you need is a GPS device and a sense of adventure!
