Think Inside the Box for Youth Fitness
Have you considered boxing as a way to get your child active? At Kempsville Rec Center, we are proud to offer Boxing Fitness, a unique blend of defensive and offensive fundamentals taught in a non-contact, non-competitive, small-group setting. It's a fantastic way for kids to burn off some summer energy, improve quickness and agility and build confidence through athletic challenge.
This class is great for both young men and women age 8 to 16. It's held in our boxing gym and taught by certified USA Boxing coaches that are passionate about the sport and the well-being of the students.
The next session begins August 5 and meets Monday and Wednesday nights from 5-6:30 through August 28. The cost is $49. You can register online or in person at any recreation center. Contact Fitness Team member Chuck Thomas at (757) 474-8492 or CThomas@vbgov.com for more details. |
