Fitness Stations Installed at Mount Trashmore Park

Fitness StationWe're bringing the gym outdoors at Mount Trashmore Park with the addition of new fitness stations! A total of 10 fitness stations have been added to accommodate park visitors of all abilities.

Six LifeTrail stations are designed for active, older adults to help improve posture and balance as well as increase strength. Located between Lake Trashmore and Edwin Drive, each station offers multiple activity panels on which a variety of exercises can be performed. Detailed instructions explain how to use the equipment and show which muscles are being worked. Multiple exercises are outlined for each fitness level. One of the LifeTrail stations is designed specifically for wheelchair-accessible activities.

Further along the perimeter trail, beginning near the corner of Edwin and South Independence, four Energi Prime stations create a total body fitness system to help you stretch and strengthen your muscles. Like the LifeTrail stations, multiple activities are available at each station and exercises for all fitness levels are outlined on the instruction panels. The Energi stations also feature Tag barcodes. You can download the free Tag app and scan the code with your smartphone to view video demonstrations of each exercise.
