Hi All,

Fall has certainly arrived in Toronto.  Time to start thinking about your winter vacation in the sun.  There are some good early booking promotions available so contact me anytime to start planning!

In this issue, we look at new seasonal Porter flights to the Orlando area, Toronto's Lockhart Bar and preventing critters from coming home with you (ewww)...not to mention a few tidbits!

Porter begins seasonal service to Orlando area!

Porter Airlines will begin once-a-week service to Florida this winter, using its Q400 turboprops, as it waits for approvals to land jets at the Toronto Island airport.

The airline will fly Saturdays to the Orlando-Melbourne airport, which is 40 km from Port Canaveral, a cruise port, or 119 km from the theme parks of Orlando.

The airline plans to serve a maximum of 50 passengers on a flight, instead of the usual 74 on this Florida route, due to fuel and range considerations. Previously, the farthest Porter had flown is South Carolina...

Toronto's own Harry Potter Themed "The Lockhart Bar"

"To a muggle, The Lockhart bar looks like any other charming hipster establishment.   But to a Hogwarts expert, it's so much more.

The bar, which opened in Toronto, makes
no mention of Harry Potter on its website, on its menu or in its decor. But true fans will notice all sorts of "Easter eggs" that nod to the series, along with some hints so subtle they may not even be able to recognize them.
The coasters feature images of a deer -- the Potter family's recurring Patronus -- and drinks names include The Shacklebot, Ludo's Debt and Befuddlement beer. 

The neon sign may look simply like a pleasant piece of furniture, but peer closely and you'll see that it reads "All was well," the final words from "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." 

The bar is organized like an apothecary. There's an assortment of small Harry Potter bobble-heads, and even the bar's name, The Lockhart, is a reference to the half-blood Defense Against the Dark Arts professor..."
