Upgrade Features - Did You Know?
|
Each year, Sage is releasing a major upgrade for it's Sage 100 ERP software. Some of the features added that are sparking the most comments include
v2014
- Autocomplete feature -- you can start typing the customer name, vendor name, or item description in the customer number, vendor number, or item code field, and the code will automatically appear. The standard lookups are still available, but you now have the choice to start by typing the name/description
- Default Column Name in Grid Search Window. For users of this grid search, this is an improvement. For those that didn't know this feature existed, it is an eye-opener. Let's say you have a sales order with many many lines and you're trying to find a specific item code that was ordered. You can use the grid search icon above the lines display to search all the lines for item code
v2013
- Optionally install the 64 bit driver. Makes sense for users who want to pull data from Sage 100 ERP directly into Excel. If your Excel was a 64 bit version, you couldn't do this, but now you can!
- Check/Cheque Cleared and Date Cleared available now in Vendor Inquiry. Really saves time when researching whether a cheque has cleared the bank and when
- Ability to mark a Vendor and/or Customer as inactive and why. A similar feature was added to Items in v4.5
