Dear ,

This month, we are announcing two events -- the quarterly webinar and a customer appreciation event, celebrating 20 years in business. Please join us for both!  Details and registration links are below.

This newsletter, Keeping in Touch, is our way of keeping you up to date with relevant news about your Sage 100 ERP software and also what's happening at Munjal White.

We're always looking for ways to improve, so if you have any suggestions for newsletter topics, tips, or other ways that we can improve our service level, click here to let us know.

Don't forget the Sage ideas website -- a great place to provide feedback to Sage on software features and to vote for features that others have added. See the link in the Quick Links section to the left.

You can register for the event here.

A Celebration of 20 Years!

An invitation . . . A Night at the Theatre

In celebration of our 20th year in business (yes, we started very young indeed!), and to thank you, our valued clients, you are cordially invited to the preview performance of Blithe Spirit, a comedy by Noel Coward on Thursday, April 24th, at the The Village Playhouse, 2190 Bloor Street West, Toronto.

  • Wine and cheese reception at 7pm
  • Show time at 8pm

A synopsis of Blythe Spirit
When Charles Condomine's first wife Elvira is summoned -- by means of a seance -- from the other side, she arrives with considerable baggage.  A classic comedy by the author of Private Lives and Hay Fever

Click here to read more and to register for this event.  The more, the merrier, so bring friends and family, too.

Interesting Projects in Sage 100 ERP

Every day we're in touch with our clients.  It might be a support call.  It might be an onsite visit.  It might be an email asking is it possible to . . .

This week . . .

We used the power of Custom Office (scripting) to warn the user if they enter an Invoice Date that is more than 30 days before or after today.  This will prevent posting to the wrong year.

We modified the Invoice Register, Check Register, and Manual Check Register to print a large warning notice in red that the register was being posted to a date that is more than 30 days before or after today.  This will prevent posting to wrong periods.  Standard Sage 100 (within Company Maintenance) has an option to prevent posting outside of the current and one future period, but these report changes give the user more flexibility and the ability to post to any period.

Using Custom Office (user defined fields and scripting) and Crystal Reports, we set up a system to generate individual refund cheques to customers without having to setup each customer as a separate vendor.  Without these tools, we would have had to set up each customer as a separate vendor in order to be able to get a cheque printed with different names and addresses.  Over 100 refund cheques are issued each month, so an efficient solution was required.  Problem solved!

If you have any ideas or questions on what Custom Office and Crystal Reports can do for you, click here to let us know and start the conversation.

We look forward to your feedback and your ideas for future issues of our newsletter.  If you would like to contribute an article or suggest an article or support tip to a future newsletter, we'd love to have your contribution.  Please let us know how we can help you
