Dear ,

This newsletter, Keeping in Touch, is our way of keeping you up to date with relevant news about your Sage 100 (formerly MAS 90 / 200) software and also what's happening at Munjal White.

We're always looking for ways to improve, so if you have any suggestions for newsletter topics, tips, or other ways that we can improve our service level, click here to let us know.

The annual Sage Customer conference is next month (July 23-26) in Washington, DC.  Will you be there?  Click on the Quick Link to the left to learn more about this knowledge-and-network-building conference!  If you purchased your Sage 100 software after August 2012, you may be entitled to attend the conference for free!  Click here to find out if you're eligible

A real decision is measured by the fact that you've taken a new action.  If there's no action, you haven't truly decided.

Quarterly Webinar
Your support agreement with Munjal White entitles you to attend our quarterly webinar series at no additional cost.  We encourage you to take advantage of these webinars.

The next quarterly webinar is on Tuesday, June 11th . . . the topic is Modifying Standard Reports in Sage 100.

Attend this webinar to learn how!  Click here to learn more and to register for this webinar scheduled for Tuesday, June 11, at 10:00am

Master Console

Within Sage 100, the Master Console will give you lots of good information.  It will tell you what users are currently logged into Sage 100, as well as what they are doing!

Two common support requests that we see are a) "the xxx file is in use" message or b) "unable to open the xxx file".  In both cases, this means that a task is currently running that has a key file in an exclusive locked-state -- no user can read from or write to this file while it's exclusively locked.  For example, if you wanted to make a change to the Inventory Options, no users should be accessing any task related to inventory, sales order, or purchase order.  By viewing the Master Console, you can determine who or what is preventing you from doing what you want to.  Don't forget to check your own user ID -- you might have the task open on your own machine!  Once you find the user that is preventing you from doing what you need to do, you can have them close the task and then you can do what you need!

To access the Master Console, go to Library Master | Main | Master Console, or select the fourth icon the main toolbar.

Is Google your Friend?

What did we do before Google?  Google gives us instant access to lots of information.  If you're using Google or other search engines to search for solutions to your Sage 100 warning/error messages, please use the information with caution.  If the solution is suggesting that you reinitialize a file or resort some files, be careful!  We encourage all clients to be self-sufficient in working through their own system issues, but be cautious.

Your support agreement with Sage includes a minimum of 5 cases -- take advantage of this -- or your annual support agreement with Munjal White includes between 3 and 50 cases; we want you to be as self sufficient as you can and encourage you to take advantage of all resources.

We look forward to your feedback and your ideas for future issues of our newsletter.  If you would like to contribute an article or suggest an article or support tip to a future newsletter, we'd love to have your contribution.  Please let us know how we can help you Get the Most from Your Sage 100 Investment.

Sincerely,
