Greetings!

As the days of summer dwindle down to a precious few, and the sounds of school bells and buses fill the air, we're bringing you apps in every app store, fantastic updates to Generations, and more!


NEW AND USEFUL FEATURES
Update Coming in mid-September

This month we're rolling out an update to Generations with some exciting additions including:
  • Wellness Questions for Generations Telephony. To help you better manage client wellness, this enhancement prompts caregivers at shift sign out to answer questions about client wellness. You establish the questions and set alerts for responses to those questions.
  • Short videos on nearly every topic in Generations. We've been very busy making over 100 bite-sized training videos for your convenience. These videos are 2-5 minutes in duration and are focused on very specific areas of the system. You'll find both a video library and a link on the Help page specific to the topic.
  • Client Audit Trail. This audit trail tracks changes and deletions throughout the client file. Who did what and when, it's all there. This meets yet another HIPAA security standard required of ePHI.
  • Force Password Changes. A reformatting of the appearance of the security tab in Company Settings also brings the ability to prompt users to change passwords after a specified number of days.

We're anticipating these additions to be released in the middle of the month. You'll know you've got the update when you sign into Generations and get a pop-up message about a new version. APP FOR KINDLE DEBUTS
Plus An Update For iOS and Android Apps

While apps for Android and iPhone users of Generations have been available for some time now, we recently released an app that is compatible with Kindle tablets and the Kindle Fire phone.

Generations Apps can be used by administrative staff, caregivers, and clients (and their families). Depending on the job function, a different version of the app is presented to the user with their specific features. For example, an office staff member would see much more information than a caregiver or client, all based on security settings within Generations.

With the Generations Apps, you can do assessments at the client's location, record and track marketing activities for referral sources, find a caregiver to fill a shift, update client records and a whole lot more. Caregivers can check schedules, view the care plan, complete assigned tasks, as well as verify visits via GPS technology.

Additionally, the updated version of the apps gives Caregivers the ability to add Visit Notes for each client they assist. Real time visit verification and documentation allows everyone on the care team to be aware and responsive.

SECURITY MILESTONE
TRUSTe Certification

Here's something we can all get excited about! Over the summer, we've received a certification that we are particularly proud of, read on to learn more.

We are vigilant in the protection of your data, and especially that of your patient's Protected Health Information (PHI.) We enlisted the services of industry expert TRUSTe to perform an independent and comprehensive review of our system, the  apps, policies, and procedures. As a result, we were awarded certification in Privacy, Cloud (TRUSTe Cloud,) and EU Safe Harbor Framework. These certifications are a testament to our promise to you that your data is safe and secure.
