Fill, Vent, & Supply Line Installation Tips
When installing a Chart bulk beverage CO2 system, hoses rated for liquid CO2 should be used to fill and vent the tank from inside the building to the fill box outside the building and to supply gas to the different use points.
The fill hose used between the fill box and the tank should be a seamless, thermoplastic inner tube composed of FDA- and NSF51-compliant resin, reinforced with one braid of fiber, with the cover pinpricked for pneumatic service.
The vent line should be a CO2-compatible polymer or plastic tubing rated for at least 250 psi working pressure or higher.
According to NBIC Part 1 NB12-0304 Supplement 3, S3.6, all piping, hoses, and tubing on the system shall be rated for the working pressure of the system and have a burst pressure rating of at least four times the MAWP of the component ... (Read the full TIP at the link below.)
