November is a time to remind ourselves of everything we have to be thankful for and we can't let this opportunity slip by to extend our appreciation to you who support us throughout the year!

     What's New in November

Through your support, we are able to bring a great new feature to our website: "Tools for Business".  This new addition provides answers to questions about the everyday business of running your business. One of the features you may find especially helpful is the page on Government Requirements. Towards the bottom of the page you can learn which government forms are due for your type of business for the next 90 days. Your friendly reminder!

Just starting out in business?  This section of the website is especially helpful; Tools for Business.  It will guide you through the process from what type of business organization may be the most appropriate for your situation based on number of owners and number of employees, to which Government forms are needed. The section is a wealth of knowledge as you make your way through the jungle of business issues.

Be sure to check out the "Tip of the Week" on the front page of Tools for Business.  A special feature of the site is just a click of a button and the site is in Spanish.

The website is not intended to replace your trusted legal or accounting advisors but a go-to resource to help you stay informed on business requirements.

We are so excited about this new feature as there is such a wealth of business information on the site, that over the next year we will work to expose you to a new feature each month.

As always, if you have any questions please call the office.

Party Celebrated

On October 10th NCAEDC celebrated our new location at 123 So. 8th St. in Nebraska City with a Ribbon Cutting attended by many including District 2 Senator Bill Kintner.
Each year we like to acknowlege our partners who help our efforts in positioning Otoe County as a great place to do business as well as develop programs to assist our local businesses.  NCAEDC's Chairman, Jack Hobbie presented Cindy McGinnis  representing Lourdes Central Catholic the coveted Catalyst Award for their "Vision and Investment Which Ignited Changes in the Landscape of Nebraska City" and Jim Kuhn was recognized with a gift certificate for his unselfish time spent in several projects in town that has also has changed the landscape of Nebraska City.
The celebration was held in our courtyard with a setting right out of New Orleans.  Jazz music and cajun food catered by our very own Pioneers Bar and Grill and wine by Kimmel Orchard made this special night of appreciation a memorable one.
Thank you to all who donate and volunteer their time and efforts in making Otoe County a great place to have a business.
