Good News

Thank you to the Ambassadors, and our hospitality students, for all of their efforts with our two successful Open Houses. Their energy and enthusiasm was evident whether they were leading tours, sharing information about our extra-curricular activities and athletics or entertaining us in song. The ambassadors were fabulous and we are grateful for each of them. Special thanks to our Ambassador leaders, seniors Julia Butts and Hannah Page and juniors Shannon McIsaac and Collette O'Connor and, of course, to our Director of Admissions, Mrs. Miner.

As the fall season draws to a close, we would like to say thank you and congratulations to our senior athletes. Their leadership is appreciated on and off the field, the pool, the track and the court. The senior athletes have been amazing role models for our underclasswomen and they will be missed.

Thank you to the student ambassadors who greeted and directed our guests at Dancing With The Fontbonne Stars. Many Fontbonne alumnae visited their Alma Mater for the first time since they graduated and enjoyed seeing their school. Thank you also to our student dancers who entertained our guests in between the "Fontbonne Stars" performances. Special thanks to seniors Alyssa Jones and Eliza McDonald who choreographed the dances and trained the student dancers.

On Tuesday, as the entire nation chose our country's President, members of our National Honor Society held a mock election. Last week the student body met the "presidential, vice-presidential and senatorial candidates" each morning over the PA. During lunches on Monday, members of NHS dressed as the candidates and gave their last pleas for votes. The results at Fontbonne were: Obama for President and Brown for Senator. Thank you to Mrs. Herbert, moderator of NHS and senior members of NHS for running the mock election.
