Good News

On Tuesday, October 23, Fontbonne Academy hosted the annual flu clinic for members of the greater Fontbonne Community.   Thank you to our school nurse, Ms. Susan Katchpole, for coordinating the efforts of many students and adults to bring us this important service.

The annual meeting of the Parents Guild was held the evening of Tuesday October 23.  Joani Geltman, an expert in the field of Child Development and Parenting, addressed those in attendance on the topic of "Managing Stress in Your Daughter's High School Years."  Thank you to the officers of the Parents Guild and Mrs. Anne Comber for organizing this informative and timely gathering.

The Fontbonne Community celebrated Halloween in the traditional way with costumes and goodies.  The winners for the best/most clever costumes were Jasselis Lopez, grade 9; Rachel Croke, grade 10; Tamra Adams and Carli Gavin, grade 11; and Megan Connolly, grade 12.  The grand prize went to the junior team who represented a cross walk.

The morning of Thursday November 1, the entire Fontbonne Learning Community gathered in the auditorium to celebrate liturgy in commemoration of All Saints' Day.  It was also an opportunity to remember those who have suffered severe consequences from Hurricane Sandy and to dedicate ourselves to helping others by participating in the Thanksgiving Food Drive.
