Good News

On Thursday, October 11, the Guidance Department hosted a Financial Aid Night for Grade 12 parents. Speaker Janice Evans from Suffolk University Law Financial Aid office who volunteers with MEFA provided our families with information about filing both the FAFSA and CSS Profile as well as giving them an understanding of how to read financial aid award letters. Thank you to Mrs. Spignesi and Mrs. Lamb for their work to organize the presentation.

Despite the dreary weather, over 100 students and adults of the Learning Community, along with family and friends participated in the Fontbonne Academy Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on Sunday, October 14. We had set a goal of $4,000 and raised well over $6,000. A special thank you to Ms. Susan Katchpole, Mrs. Denning, and student leaders Emily Nagle '13 and Kathleen Tansey '13 for their work in organizing this important event.

On Thursday, October 18, the Student Council hosted the annual Father/Daughter Supper.  There were many fathers and father figures in attendance and the entertainment, provided by Hollyrock Entertainment, was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience.  Thank you to the many Student Council members and their moderator, Ms. Leonard, who helped organize the vibrant event.
