Good News
In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, students wore pink tops with their uniform skirt or pants on Friday, October 12. Voluntary donations were collected in the cafeteria during the lunch blocks. All donations will go to the Ellie Fund, a local non-profit organization that provides services, such as transportation, childcare and meals to breast cancer patients and their families in Massachusetts. Many learning community members also wore pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The volleyball teams recognized the month by wearing pink and donating all door receipts for the game on Thursday, October 11, against rival North Quincy High, to the Ellie Fund.
The Clothesline of Fame sponsored by the Spirit Committee is up in the foyer. Each season the Spirit Committee recognizes senior athletes and members of chorus and drama by featuring a rendition of their sport or drama role on the clothesline. Spirit Committee also recognizes the leadership and enthusiasm of these seniors over the PA. Thank you to the Spirit Committee for all their work in recognizing our seniors.
