The Spring Drivers school is almost upon us. Anyone planning to register needs to have their membership in before the 4th, so make sure those applications get in the mail today (if not already sent). Wheel to Wheel students will also receive two $50 coupons for use at two events this season!
Spring Drivers School Timeline
Wheel to Wheel:
- Must join a member club by April 4
- Registrar must receive Medical form signed by doctor and completed Drivers School Permit application by April 11
- Register on myautoevents by April 11
- Attend MANDATORY CLASSROOM SESSION on April 17
- On-track instruction on April 18
High Speed Autocross:
- Must join a member club by April 4
- Register on myautoevents by April 11
- OPTIONAL classroom session on April 17
- On-track instruction on April 18
Track Time Only Drivers & Novice Sign-Off Drivers:
- Register on myautoevents by April 15
- Please note registration if you will be attending OPTIONAL classroom session in "Note to Registrar" field
- On-track April 18
First Race of the Season!
The Enduro Series will have three events this year. The rules are posted with the February Minutes. Please review event sups for any additional changes.Tire Wall Day is April 12 at Blackhawk Farms: 8am Gate Opens 9am Tire Wall Day starts 11:30am Lunch 12pm Touring Starts (weather permitting) 1:30pm Touring Ends New Motorama: Motorsports expo in Green Bay, WI on April 3rd-5th. Midwestern Council has secured display space for two cars. Scott Reif will display one of his open wheel cars. We're looking for a closed wheel car to display and some members to staff the display. Show hours are: Friday 3pm to 10pm Saturday10am to 10pm Sunday 10am to 6pm Move-in opens on Wednesday, continuing through Friday, with everyone set up by 2pm. Move out starts at 6pm Sunday and everything must be out by 10pm Sunday night (another show starts moving in at 10pm). If you are interested in helping staff the display and/or displaying your car, please contact Rick Griesser. For more information on the expo, the website for the show is newmotorama.com.

Race & Performance Expo
|
Eric Barnes did a fantastic job of organizing our booth for this year's Race & Performance Expo in St. Charles, IL. He said there was a good turnout for the event and that the SCCA advised people we have the best one day school around! Eric was even able to promote the various types of racing in MCSCC during a 7 minute segment on a Plano radio station, and with the auto writer from the Daily Herald! Congratulations Eric, and thanks for all your hard work. Our thanks also to those who helped man the booth: Dave Brailich, John Churchill, Doug Collins, Butch Deer, Denis Downs, Scott Durbin, Melissa Hitzke, Dick Karth, Mitch Litio, Greg Nemec, Rob Roderick, and Dale Szymkowski. Your dedication is greatly appreciated.

HSAX Starters: We would like to have a team of starters in place for HSAX events. Starters who are also HSAX participants are still able to race and will receive priority access to the track for scheduled Practice Sessions and Timed Runs.
