The 2014 MCSCC Awards Banquet is on January 17th at the Radisson Hotel in Rockford, IL. Dinner for Class Champions is FREE! We will also be recognizing and honoring exceptional competitors and race staff. RSVP is due by January 3rd and can be made online at nsscc.org. A printable form for mailing/emailing is available under forms & files on the mcscc.org.
(I normally send out a separate notice just for the banquet and I honestly thought I had earlier this month. I am deeply sorry for the late notice and truly hope everyone who planned to attend, is still able to.)

The 2015 Competition Schedule has been announced. I have updated the schedule at the bottom, or you can view at mcscc.org. New this year is an Enduro series! Rob Woelfle is working on the preliminary rules, if you have input please let him know.
Other upcoming events:
- Race and Performance Expo: February 14th and 15th. Eric Barnes will be spearheading the event and will need volunteers to man our booth. Please contact him if you are able to help.
- Annual Tech Day: March 28th at Advanced Autosports. Time and details to follow.

In Memoriam: Barbara Redszus
|
 Barbara Jean (Guziak) Redszus died November 23rd in Lake Forest. She was an MCSCC racer and Timing & Scoring staffer.
Born on January 3rd, 1942 to Michael (deceased) and Geneva Guziak, Barbara grew up in Medford, WI prior to moving to Chicago to pursue a career in the airline industry and starting a family. Her diverse passions included worldwide travel, golfing, music, even sports car racing. Involved with numerous social and charitable organizations, she shared the joy of life with all. Her vivacious personality won her numerous television news and well-known advertisement appearances.
After moving to Lake Forest in 1972, Barbara enjoyed a successful career in real estate sales, setting unprecedented standards of professionalism and dedication while also demonstrating a true passion for making friends of both colleagues and clients. As a real estate broker, she was known to be a tireless soul to find the perfect home for new families.
Above all, Barbara enjoyed being a wonderful mother.
Barbara is survived by her three loving children: Dr. David Redszus of Chicago, IL, Daniel Redszus of London, UK, and Diane (Zimmer) of La Grange, IL. She is also survived by her mother, sisters Patricia and Judith, brother Michael, close friend Warren Lang of Northbrook, IL, and four grandchildren: Alexander, Maximilian, Agatha, and Dagny.
Funeral and burial was performed at Our Lady of The Holy Rosary Church/Cemetary in Medford, Wisconsin on Sunday November 30th.

Co-Chief of Flagging and Communications: Sheryl Rakowski has stepped down, so we are in need of someone to share responsibilities with John Krebs as Co-Chief of F&C.
HSAX Starters: We would like to have a team of starters in place for HSAX events. Starters who are also HSAX participants are still able to race and will receive priority access to the track for scheduled Practice Sessions and Timed Runs.
