Quadchella Coming Sept. 17

The Hornet student body and alumni are invited to join Associated Students and the Inter-Club Council, at FC's first Quadchella on Sept. 17 from 4:30-8:30 p.m. Enjoy food, face painting, and more all while listening to a variety of local artists. Read more...

Food Bank Reopens Sept. 8

Fullerton College's Food Bank will reopen for the fall semester today from noon-2 p.m. and from 4-6 p.m. in  Room 1955, located in the portable buildings near the swimming pool. Read more...

President Open Forums
Interim President Greg Schulz has scheduled a series of open forums for students, staff and faculty. The next forum will be on Sept. 21 from 2-3 p.m. in Building 200, Room 224. 

Reminder: Coffee with the Trustees and Chancellor
The next meeting will take place on Sept. 17 at 9 a.m. in Building 200, Room 224 at Fullerton College. On Oct. 1 there will be a meeting at SCE, Anaheim Campus, Room 105-107 at 3 p.m. The last fall meeting will be on Nov. 12 from 1 p.m. at Cypress College, College Complex, Room 414. Veterans Resource Center Events This Week

Tutoring at the VRC will begin this week on Sept. 9. Tutoring subjects include reading, writing and math (Math 015 F to Math 250AF.) Visit the VRC website for a full schedule. Outside the Wire for U.S. Vets meets every Monday and Tuesday from 1 to 5 p.m. and connects veterans with mental health counseling and other services. Call the VRC at 714-992-7102 for more information. Reminder: Challenges to Southern California's Water Supply Seminar
The seminar will be on Sept. 8 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in Building 400, Room 410. Students who attend the seminar may also attend the Meet-the-Speaker Pizza Mixer from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in Building 200, Rooms 224-226. Contact Sean Chamberlin for more details. Read the flyer for more information.

Transfer Center Workshops
The After You Apply-Next Steps: Part 3 workshop provides students with the next steps they must take after they have submitted their university application. This workshop will be on Sept. 10 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. The UC Application & Personal Statement Workshop covers frequently asked questions about the UC application and more. This workshop will take place on Sept. 11 from noon to 1:30 p.m. All workshops take place in the Transfer Center, Building 200, Room 212. RSVPs are required for both workshops, contact the Transfer Center at 714-992-7086 or visit Room 212 for more information.

Showcasing a body of work both broad in scope and stunning in its beauty, the Fullerton College Art Collection exemplifies what a college art collection should be: educational, inspirational, and have the ability to move us all. Gallery hours for the collection are Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon and from 2 to 4 p.m. Special evening hours will be on Sept. 9, 15 and 21 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Football
The Hornets entered Ventura College's stadium and were shut out by the Pirates 31-0. Read more... Up Next: The Hornets (0-1) will try and pick the pieces next Saturday when they host the defending state champion Mt. San Antonio College Mounties. Kickoff will be at 12:30 p.m.
 
Women's Volleyball
Fullerton could not get it going on the road against Hope International last Thursday falling in three straight sets. Up Next: FC (0-1) will look to get back on track when they host Citrus College on Sept. 16. Game time will be at 6 p.m.
 
Women's Soccer
The Lady Hornets dropped their second game of the season at Palomar College 4-1 on Friday. Up Next: Fullerton (0-2) will host El Camino College today at 1 p.m.
 
Men's Soccer
FC lost both of their games in the Mt. San Antonio College Tournament over the weekend. In game one, Mira Costa College bested the Hornets 4-2. In game two, FC fell to Oxnard College 3-1. Up Next: FC (0-3) will host El Camino College today at 3 p.m.
