Hitting the submit button on your UC and CSU application is only the beginning! It is important to check your email frequently (including spam folders) as universities will email you about your next steps. See below and visit our Transfer Center website for information on important dates/deadlines.
CSUF important dates/deadlines
CSU Web portals: Most CSUs will require you to create an account through their online student portal. Do so as soon as possible to avoid missing any important information about your application status.
UC Academic Updates: You will have to log back into the UC application update system by January 31st to update your fall grades and spring coursework. Note: UC Berkeley also requires a supplemental myberkeley application.
Transcripts and GE Certification: You will be required to provide official final transcripts from each college/university you have attended. In order to be certified for CSU GE or IGETC, you must specifically request this to be included with your transcript through Admissions and Records.
CSU transcript deadlines and processes vary, but you may be required to submit unofficial documents after fall grades post and then official transcripts at the end of spring.
The UC transcript deadline is July 1st.
Transfer Degree (AA-T/AS-T) Application Deadlines:
If you are completing an AA-T or AS-T in spring 2015 you must submit your graduation application to our Admissions & Records office no later than February 20th.
Accepting the offer: Most universities require you to confirm that you will accept the offer and you may need to pay an enrollment deposit.
Failing to meet any of the deadlines above could jeopardize your admissions!
Don't forget about scholarships and financial aid:
The FAFSA and California Dream Act (for AB540 students) applications are now open. Fall 2015 Transfer applicants should list all schools they applied to. Apply as soon as possible but no later than March 2nd to be eligible for the most grant aid! For assistance with these applications visit the Financial Aid office.
