FULLERTON COLLEGE ATHLETICS ROUND-UP

FOOTBALL:The Hornets took on Grossmont College at Nathan Shapell Stadium Saturday night and came up big defeating the Griffins 40-22. The win lifts #4 Fullerton to an overall record of 4-2 and remains the only undefeated team in the Southern Conference at 4-0. The loss sets the Griffins back to 3-5 overall and 1-3 in conference. Up Next: Fullerton will travel south down to Saddleback College for another Southern Conference showdown on Saturday, Nov. 1. Kickoff will be at 6 p.m.

WOMEN'S WATER POLO: The Lady Hornets have been impressive all season and did not disappoint over the weekend winning the Long Beach City College Tournament. FC keep their unbeaten streak alive beating Chaffey 16-2, San Diego Mesa 15-5, Long Beach City 18-7, and conference rival Riverside City 10-7.  Up Next: Fullerton (25-0, 5-0) will host Riverside City College this Wednesday, Oct. 29. Game time is at 4 p.m.

WOMEN'S GOLF: Despite Kaci Kaichi's team-low 81, Fullerton suffered a double-loss at Twin Oaks Golf Course on Wednesday. Fullerton is now locked in at third place overall and is six wins behind second place Irvine Valley College. College of the Desert is all alone with 72 wins and no losses.  Up Next: The Hornets (51-21) will play in OEC Championships at Wood Valley Golf Course Nov. 3 and 5 (Monday & Wednesday).

Up Next: FC will host Saddleback College on Wednesday, Oct. 29. Game time is at 6 p.m.

WOMEN'S SOCCER: Fullerton hosted Orange Coast College on Friday in an Orange Empire Conference match-up, and the game ended in a 0-0 tie. Up Next: FC (5-10-1, 2-8-1) travels to Saddleback College on Tuesday, Oct. 28. Game time is at 3 p.m.
