FOOD BANK SPONSORING SHOE DRIVE WITH SALVATION ARMY
The Fullerton College Chris Lamm Memorial Food Bank and the Anaheim Salvation Army are sponsoring a Shoe Drive. There are currently collection boxes on campus to collect shoes that will be donated to the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army will give the Food Bank $.75 per pound of shoes collected. The collection will take place during the month of September.

So dig through your closet and pull out those shoes you no longer wear. Drop them in one of the collection boxes to help us feed some of our neediest students. If you have any questions, please contact Toni DuBois.

If you read the Sunday, August 18 edition of the Orange County Register you may have noticed a "Letter to the Editor" from our very own Liz Kiszely, English professor. If you would like copies of the letter, please email Andrea Hanstein.

Foster also spent one season as the head coach at Cal Tech in Pasadena, CA, and six seasons as an assistant coach at Big West rival Cal Poly, helping turn-around the Mustangs program from four wins in her first season in 1996-97 to 12 wins in 2000-01, advancing to the second round of the Big West Tournament that year and ending perennial power UC Santa Barbara's 49-game conference winning streak during the regular season.  Raised in Plainfield, New Jersey, Foster was a standout student-athlete on and off the court.  She was inducted into the Plainfield High School Hall of Fame in 2012.
