FINANCIAL AID WEEK: APRIL 8-13

Fullerton College is celebrating Financial Aid Week from April 8 - 13. Various sessions will focus on the FAFSA, financial aid basics, and important changes in financial aid. All of the workshops will include pizza.

An informational table highlighting the week's offerings will be outside of the Cadena-Transfer Center each morning and a complete schedule may be found here.

The Fullerton College Art Gallery is presenting Pieces and Parts, an exhibition featuring works by Joe Davidson, Jeffrey Frisch and David B. Jang, beginning Wednesday, March 20 through Wednesday, April 17. The unique exhibition highlights sculptural work created by assembly of smaller pieces and parts.

Though all conceived with the same basic concept, the style and ideas behind each artist's contributions to the exhibit are very different. Frisch's dreamVessels© are created intuitively referring to one's soul journey of dreams since both dreamVessels© and dreams are assembled from seemingly unrelated elements creating a believably rearranged sense of reality.

Davidson, creates two- and three-dimensional work, which employs the use of cast everyday objects and the use of the repetitive gesture. Jang's process can be described as an exacting, fanciful, even obsessive re-appropriation of common materials-one in which he deconstructs, and re-constitutes industrial and commercial cast-offs to reveal new relationships between the object and the viewer.
WORKFORCE CENTER HOSTING SPRING JOB FAIR ON APRIL 17

The Workforce Center is hosting its spring Job Fair on Wednesday, April 17 from 10 am - 2 pm on the Quad. Several local-area businesses will be on-hand to interview students and accept resumes.

The group is still seeking volunteers to help create a series of villages focusing on Africa, Americas, Asia, Europe, Middle East, Oceania, Mind, Body, & Spirit, and Global Issues.  For more information, visit the event website.
