The Workforce Planning Board of York Region is a community based not for profit organization sponsored by the Ministry of Advanced Learning and Skills Development that coordinates community responses to local labour market issues and needs.
In an effort to determine the issues currently affecting York Region's workforce, the Workforce Planning Board invites the local employers to participate in a survey that seeks to gather their views, insights and workforce needs here in York Region. The results of the collection of this information will be available in late fall. The survey is designed in a way that asks for the best estimate and/or opinion without concern over precise numbers. The Workforce Planning Board assures employers that their responses will be kept strictly confidential. The survey has about 20 questions on the labour market in York Region and can be completed in about 10 minutes. We would appreciate the efforts to complete this Survey.

Yonge Street Construction - Business Support Program
York Region is growing. That's awesome news for businesses. But before we get there we have to build for it. That includes rapid transit, wider boulevards, new water mains and more. Construction can make the going get tough. We're here to make sure everyone keeps going. To help support local businesses during the construction phase, vivaNext has developed a business support program in collaboration with local chambers of commerce and boards of trade that offers tools and information for their continued success as well as opening project information offices in the community. The program also gets the word out that businesses are still open during construction.
