Walking Meetings: Revolutionizing the Boardroom
We all know that fitting fitness into our busy schedules can be quite tough and many of us spend more than eight hours a day sitting at our desks. Walking meetings are a great way to get outside and sneak fitness into our daily lives. Going for a walking meeting with a colleague creates a relaxed atmosphere and allows for conversation to flow smoothly. Walking side by side also eliminates hierarchical structure which allows for open dialogue between you and your colleague.
Here are a few tips to get you started!
1. Set a scheduled time: Not everyone on your time will appreciate an impromptu walking meeting and disclose your intentions so that your colleague can properly prepare. 2. Have a fluid agenda: Have an idea of the kinds of conversations you would like to have and allow for dialogue to flow freely, but not off track!
