Greetings!

Another month has literally flown by.. that seems to be happening quite a bit now that I'm getting older. It's all good though. Bill always said it was better to stay busy and let the time go by fast.. and that way I'll stay out of trouble. I'm not so sure about the latter part of that. I can be busy as a bee, and still get myself into hot water somehow.

The warm weather has returned and we can now be out working on the farm every day! There is something truly fulfilling about growing your own food and knowing what went into producing it. I think sometimes it's easy to forget when we pick up something from the supermarket that there are men, women and families behind the scenes, working hard to bring food into our homes. With everything that's going on these days, giving thanks for the simple things seems even more important!

We've got two brand new releases this month, and news that last month's release of our first hard cover Butch Cassidy: The Lost Years is still going strong in the marketplace.

Some of our favorite fellas are back this month in Sidewinders, Butcher of Bear Creek. Bo's gone home for a visit and doesn't quite get the welcome he had hoped for. Hmm.. anyone else ever had one of those kind of family visits?

The third book in the Phoenix Rising series, Day of Judgment, should be on the bookshelves
by now. Another thriller, Johnstone style! Be sure to watch the book trailer!!

Phoenix Rising: Judgement Day
by William W. & J. A. Johnstone

We had a great deal of fun creating this one and are quite proud of the way it turned out.

There's so much else going on this month, first we'll be headed to Parris Island, SC,  to watch our son Jacob march across the parade deck and proudly claim the title of United States Marine. We're so proud of both our Marine sons.

Next, we'll be off for a few days to Tunica, MS,  for the Western Film Festival. I'm so excited to see all the truly fine Western Film and TV actors and actresses again this year. After that, it's back home to picking blueberries and strawberries for a while and getting ready for July's new releases.

We wish you all a very special Father's Day!

Please keep not only our soldiers in your prayers, but those folks in Oklahoma who have gone through so much the past few weeks.

Godspeed!

Until next month, keep your powder dry!

The 2nd in the Phoenix Rising Series...
Day of Judgment

Our worst nightmares have come to pass: America has been taken over and is ruled by Muslims. The USA is now called the Islamic Republic of Enlightenment. Sharia is the law of the land. Americans have a choice--convert or die.

Three armies of brave but outgunned patriots--the Brotherhood of Loyalists, the Brotherhood of Liberty, and the United Patriots--send emissaries to Jake Lantz and Bob Varney at Firebase Freedom. Their goal: establish a more perfect union, revive the Constitution, and ultimately take back all of America.

The new capitol of New America is Mobile, Alabama. But the enemy is the same. The United Islamic Republic of Enlightenment is not giving up without a bitter, bloody fight. With the World Caliphate of Holy Path Islam behind them they are stronger than ever in their evil history. But so is a new America gathering force. Battle lines are drawn, new weapons tested. The United States of America--the Land of the Free--will rise again.

Sidewinders #7
The Butcher of Bear Creek

There's nothing like family. At least that's what people say. But when Bo and Scratch come home to Bear Creek for a long-overdue visit, Bo's family kindly invites him to turn around and leave. His old friends and neighbors turn tail and run when they see him. Next thing he knows, he's in jail for the brutal murder of two saloon girls in neighboring Cottonwood.

Unfortunately, the real killer looks astonishingly like Bo. Now, with his buddy in jail, Scratch needs to ride to the rescue, if he can escape the clutches of the beautiful assistant to a traveling snake oil salesman. With Bear Creek in an uproar, a man with Bo Creel's face and body is about to kill again.

And the worst is still hovering on the horizon: a family secret that could turn Bo's hair bone-white.
