Penner-Ash, 2013 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

Lynne Penner-Ash built the reputation of Oregon's Rex Hill winery from 1988 through 2002. Her own winery now makes Pinot Noir, Viognier and other wines to a standard that garners enthusiasm from wine critics and consumers alike. Penner-Ash wines are known for their overall elegance, ripe but not over-ripe fruit, and silky tannins. The 2013 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir bottling exhibits a sweet cherry core and hints of tea, Asian spice, and dark berries. The 2012 received 92 points Wine Enthusiast. We think the 2013 vintage is even better.
