Bartlett Pear and Gorgonzola Bruschetta Recipe
Ingredients:
- 12 baguette slices
- 4 oz mild, creamy Gorgonzola at room temperature
- 2 ripe Bartlett pears, halved, cored, and peeled
- Fresh ground pepper
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 400F. 2. Place the baguette slices on a non-stick or ungreased baking sheet. Toast until lightly golden, about 10 minutes. Remove and set aside. Spread each piece of toast with a thin layer of Gorgonzola. 3. Slice the pears and then top each of the toasts with them and return to the baking sheet. 4. Place the baking sheet under the broiler for 2 or 3 minutes, just long enough to melt the cheese and warm the pears. Garnish with fresh ground pepper.
