Italian Summer-Slow Food Style (demo)
Vera Ciammetti
Vera Ciammetti is a first-generation American of Italian immigrant parents from L'Aquila, Abruzzi. She has worked locally and internationally for the Slow Food organization, which addresses issues such as biodiversity, sustainability and fair working conditions. She cooks and teaches cooking throughout the Bay Area.

Deborah Dal Fovo
Deborah Dal Fovo is an accomplished chef, cooking instructor and authority on the fine art of Italian living. She mastered her culinary education hands-on while living in Italy for 20 years and training at Master Chef Roger Verge's legendary cooking school in France. Currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Deborah shares her vast European experience by working as a private chef, cooking instructor, Italian food and lifestyle expert, and enthusiastic Italian ambassador of good taste. She appears frequently as guest chef on television shows and is writing a cookbook and developing her own cooking show concept

        • Warm Fig, Gorgonzola and Honey Salad
        • Roasted Striped Bass with Cherry Tomatoes and Arugula 
        • Baked Summer Vegetable Casserole

Hugh Carpenter was named the 2010 IACP Cooking Teacher of the Year. He has written 17 books, including the forthcoming Mexican Flavors: Contemporary Recipes from Camp San Miguel. Additional popular titles include Hot Barbecue, Fast Entrees, the IACP award-winning Quick Cooking with Pacific Flavors and the James Beard award-nominated Fusion Food.
