There is no comparison to the quality and flavor of the stone fruit grown in California. Usually you want to wait a little as the season moves into summer for the sweetest and juiciest fruit. But if you like Apricots there is no reason to wait, because this first-of-the-season fruit is the best you'll have all year! The early harvest Apache variety Apricot is now available at Draeger's. Not only are they delicious, but as the May Fruit of the Month, they are a great value!
Apache apricots are the sweetest, juiciest apricots you'll find. They are about average in size, with a delicate flavor and pleasing aroma. The fruit has an attractive, pinkish-orange skin, with smooth, finely textured orange flesh that's easy to separate from the small stone, or pit. They are packed with vitamin A and C, potassium and plenty of fiber, a nutritious treat for kids of all ages!
Apache Apricots are grown in Cutler, California by Family Tree Farms, a family owned and operated farm owned by David Jackson. David is a seventh generation farmer who works with his children and grandchildren. Their goal is simple: grow the most flavorful fruit in the world.
