Small Business Saturday

Small Business Saturday
Shop Small on November 26
Shop Small is another effort in which the Chamber is engaged to encourage people to shop locally to stimulate the economy. From the neighborhood cafe with the tasty cappuccinos to the unique treats at the candy shop, our street are brimming with special stores that are the heartbeat of our neighborhoods and part of our community.

Small Business Saturday is a day to support the local businesses we love. This year, the big day is November 26, and we want you to get out and Shop Small. If you're a small business owner, you can head to www.shopsmall.com to download free marketing materials to help you attract customers on the day. Let's make this the most successful Small Business Saturday yet!

If you are interested in participating contact Shelley Wright at 503-665-1131.

Lean Potential - Business Tips
Wouldn't it be great if you didn't have to make that mad rush at the end of the month to get everything out the door to meet your revenue goals? A good strategy deployment is the first step. Clear, concise goals and your employees will reach them.

Solar City - Tips for Saving Money Around the House
Turn your water heater temperature down to 120 degrees. This, too, will save on water heating bills.

Gresham Womens Healthcare - Women's Health Tips
Did you know that 1 in 3 women will get osteoporosis in their lives? All women should get 1000mg of calcium and 600 units of Vitamin D daily to protect their bones even when they are young. Bone density actually increases the most in the teens and twenties and can help prevent problems later in life. So ditch the soda and drink milk instead!
