Hi there

Welcome back! We hope you've had a relaxing Easter break, and that you're feeling rejuvenated and ready for a successful summer term.

According to neuroscience, repetition is the key to embedding learning so keep going with the creative reinforcement!

Are all your classes filled with students who are considerate, kind and thoughtful? Do they realise that cooperation and mutual support make for happier lives all round?

If yes, then enjoy it. If not, have a look at the new free download on our website.

Promoting emotional health and wellbeing in schools

It is shocking to read in Public Health England's new review March 2015 that:

In an average class of 30 15-year-old pupils:

  • Three could have a mental disorder
  • Ten are likely to have witnessed their parents separate
  • One could have experienced the death of a parent
  • Seven are likely to have been bullied
  • Six may be self-harming.

These statistics highlight the huge challenge schools face in supporting pupils to be resilient and emotionally healthy. The document goes on to outline eight principles to promote a whole school approach including staff development and curriculum teaching - both right up our street! Call us for staff training and varied and stimulating resources for your classroom that will really make a difference, whether slotting into current initiatives or being used for the first time.

So . . . . .  join our training day 19 June in London

"It is widely recognized that a child's emotional health and wellbeing influences their cognitive development and learning, as well as their physical and social health and their mental wellbeing in adulthood." (Public Health England)

You will explore:

  • the neuroscience that underpins the principles of emotional wellbeing
  • How to integrate social and emotional wellbeing within your classroom
  • the skills needed to develop young people's social and emotional wellbeing.
