While we may not
be directly impacted by Hurricane Sandy here in the Midwest,
any time a natural disaster strikes it serves as a reminder
to ensure that we're properly planning for the unexpected.
We’re no stranger
to natural disasters with tornados, flooding, and heavy
snow all in the past few years here in the Midwest, so
most organizations have some sort of disaster plan in place.

Counting in Excel
2010

Do
you have a list of answers in Excel, and need to know how
many people answered X, Y, or Z? How about a list of
hundreds of client zipcodes, and you need to know how many
clients are in each unique zipcode? You need the COUNTIF
formula!
COUNTIF is
a simple formula that takes your dataset or the range (all
the answers), searches it for an option or criteria (e.g.
option “X”), and returns the number of times it found that
option. The formula is =COUNTIF(range,criteria).
