A Tasteful Tour
Experience quality restaurants in a quaint seaside town with the 2015 Taste of Solomons set for Saturday, March 28, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Restaurants will host open houses where guests can try delicious bite-sized portions of fare or miniature-sized cocktails. Tickets are $4 and can be purchased within each participating restaurant or at a central "ticket booth." Tickets can be redeemed at all participating restaurants for a food or beverage item.

Blue Crabs Past, Present and Future
Visit the Chesapeake Biological Laboratory (CBL) on Solomons Island from 7 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, for the launch of CBL's spring 2015 Outreach Seminar Series: Science for Citizens.
During the first Tuesday night seminar, CBL Director Dr. Thomas Miller will explore the biology, ecology and fisheries for the blue crab based on the 90 years of research conducted at CBL since its founding in 1925. The seminar will show how the life cycle of blue crab determines the timing of fisheries and how climate change may disrupt that pattern. Light snacks and beverages will be provided. All seminars are free and open to the public.

The Ruddy Duck
The Ruddy Duck is Southern Maryland's only microbrewery gastro-pub serving handcrafted beer brewed on site in addition to diverse menu. Award-winning signature beers are on tap year round, as well as seasonal selections for every type of beer lover. Try a beer "flight" and enjoy a sampling of all the beers or stop by and ask the brew master for a tour of the brewing facility.

Mully's Brewery
Mully's Brewery is Southern Maryland's first production brewery. For $5, beer lovers get a flight of handcrafted artisan beer, a souvenir taster glass to take home and a tour of the facility. Six packs and growler fills are for sale at the tap room. Mully's has dubbed the last Sunday of every month "Small Batch Sunday" because that is when the head brewer performs a live brewing demonstration and the brewery debuts one of its specialty beers.

Local Galleries and Sites Feature World-Class Works
Many amazing artists in all disciplines call Calvert County home. A thriving scene of local galleries and art spaces features their works. Come and discover world-class art amid the laid-back charm of Calvert County.
Annmarie Sculpture Garden and Arts Center, located in Solomons, is a regional jewel hosting a magnificent collection of modern art. Here you can view permanent works by regional artisans, along with fabulous pieces by Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse and Joan Miro on loan from the Smithsonian Institute. Stroll through the quiet sculpture park, which includes various outdoor 'rooms' perfect for contemplating the artworks. For children, there's also a fun and educational scavenger hunt. The center's art building includes additional exhibits and a gift shop. Sign up for art class or plan to attend a workshop. Located on Solomons Island, carmen's gallery showcases both regional and international artists. Offering a wonderful body of fine art and handmade fine crafts and jewelry, the gallery hosts monthly showings, classes and workshops. The gallery has been voted Bay Weekly's "Best Art Gallery on the Chesapeake Bay" three years running. calvART Gallery, a cooperative gallery affiliated with the Arts Council of Calvert County, is located in Prince Frederick. calvART Gallery showcases artists from Southern Maryland and highlights work from a wide range of styles and media. Monthly receptions and special events allow you to meet the artists while browsing the art. Artworks@7th is a cooperative located not far from the beach and boardwalk in North Beach. A group of nearly 30 artists keeps the art fresh and inviting. The artists frequently rotate in new pieces allowing you to enjoy a variety of media. Monthly shows include individual artists, guest artists, small works shows and theme shows.
