SHIPWRECK! Pirates & Treasure will capture your imagination and take you on an incredible voyage from the glory days of pirates to modern-day shipwrecks!

This exhibit features over 500 authentic artifacts, including gold and silver treasures, as well as the amazing science and technology used to work thousands of feet below the ocean's surface.

Visitors can experience hurricane force winds and dig for treasure with a robotic arm.

Volunteer Field Trip
In April, museum staff and volunteers enjoyed a field trip to the Bosque Museum in Clifton. The group was given a tour by the museum director, Dr. George Larson, and enjoyed a delicious lunch at Bunkhouse BBQ.

A Taste of Treasure June 19, 2015

The Mayborn Museum will be offering a party for our members featuring the summer exhibit, SHIPWRECK! Pirates and Treasure, on June 19, 2015. Invitations will be mailed to Mayborn Museum members in early June with information on how to purchase reservations and RSVP.

Ahoy - Treasure! with Nancy Worcester
Join ventriloquist and storyteller Nancy Worcester and her friends as she artfully blends education and entertainment with an engaging performance for all ages.

Oceans Rock! with Walt Whittington
Enjoy a hands-on presentation that includes fossils such as ammonites and troglodytes, prehistoric Megalodon shark teeth, and a hungry Great White Shark!

Pirate Magic! with Cody Fisher
Experience an interactive pirates and treasure themed performance by our favorite master magician Cody Fisher.

Pirates Ahoy! with Brian Whittington
Become a pirate! Audience members are invited to join in the show as characters in a pirate adventure story complete with costumes and props.
All performances will take place at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm in the SBC Theater.
$5 per person pricing will be offered on Treasure Tuesdays and will include admission to the museum, SHIPWRECK! Pirates and Treasure, and all special activities and events.
