Greetings in the Name of Jesus and welcome to the PLN Sunday Night Bible Fellowship

Happy New Year everyone! We hope you've enjoyed some great holidays and have come back tonight ready to tackle 2013 with determination to do whatever is necessary to take possession of all the bible-based PROSPERITY God has ALREADY made available for you. Friend, God has a Covenant with Jesus and by FAITH in Christ you and I are part of that Covenant which was sealed in blood at the Cross of Calvary. Jesus has redeemed us from the Curse of the Law (Galatians 3:13) and in that process, access to His PROSPERITY was made available to Jew and Gentile Believer alike (Galatians 3:14, 28). If you can believe that, if you can embrace and receive for yourself that God loves you and wants you to PROSPER in every area of life including your finances, then that's precisely what you'll experience in 2013 because it's a matter of Covenant with God Almighty who NEVER breaks a promise. What we have to do is BELIEVE IT AND TAKE IT BY FAITH.

Now in this series we've been focusing on all the things that can impact our God-intended PROSPERITY. Some of those things we need to learn about and others RE-learn because many of us have come to certain conclusions that don't always seem to agree with the Word of God. Most of those things are SPIRITUAL in nature because the PROSPERITY of God comes through the things of the Spirit, not business and financial operating things. You can be a whiz at those business and financial operating things from the World and you can even make a lot of money for a while without becoming PROSPEROUS in the way God wants you to be. You see, the BLESSING of the Lord provides a type of wealth that comes without any sorrow (problems, difficulties, concerns and fears) whatsoever (Proverbs 10:22). Enrichment from the World ALWAYS comes with all those negative things attached so it doesn't have the ability to produce the PEACE that only Christ can give us.

With that in mind let's start the New Year out by considering that perhaps one of the main reasons so many Believers have not been as financially PROSPEROUS as we could (and should) have been is that we didn't EXPECT to be. Another way to say that is that we didn't or couldn't SEE ourselves as ever actually being PROSPEROUS. In other words, for whatever reason MOST Believers don't think it's PROBABLE that they'll ever find a way to PROSPER. If we don't THINK we'll PROSPER than it's for certain that we won't because the Truth is, we become exactly who/what we THINK we are (Proverbs 23:7). In sum, if we want 2013 to be any different than the past then a basic requirement will have to be that many of us change the way we've been THINKING.

The Availability of God's Favor

Fundamentally we're going to have to come to a place where what we THINK about ourselves AGREES with the Word of God. There's no place in the Word where the Lord placed any limits on us. So if any limits show up in our lives, we're the ones who've put them there. God says He has ABUNDANCE for us through GRACE by FAITH so if we don't yet enjoy that in our lives it's NOT because He's withholding any of it. It's because we're not THINKING right about ourselves. If you'll adopt the idea of changing your THINKING as your fundamental objective for 2013 then you're GUARANTEED to get positive results. Why? Because the Word of God says so and here are a few examples:

The Word SAYS that God has given you the ability to obtain wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18).

The Word SAYS that you can do ALL things through Christ (Philippians 4:13).

The Word SAYS that if we ask for anything according to God's will, we can have what we ASK FOR (1 John 5:15).

The Word SAYS that Jesus became poor so that you might become rich (2 Corinthians 8:9).

The Word SAYS that God delights in your PROSPERITY (Psalm 35:27).

The Word SAYS that God causes ALL things to work out to the good for those who LOVE Him (Romans 8:28).

The Word SAYS that if you are careful to live according to what it says, you will PROSPER (Joshua 1:8).

The Word SAYS that the BLESSING of the Lord will make you abound in PROSPERITY (Deuteronomy 28:11).

The Word SAYS that God is willing to make it possible for you to have ALL sufficiency in everything (2 Corinthians 9:8).

The Word SAYS that God does not show partiality among Believers (Acts 10:34 and Romans 2:11).

Now these ten key verses in the Word of God clearly define what the Lord's will is regarding our financial PROSPERITY, and there are MANY other scriptures we could also use. What they say in essence is that God's FAVOR is available to Believers in the Body of Christ in the form of financial BLESSING. The question then is: are we going to BELIEVE the Word of the Blood Covenants that God has SWORN to uphold or are we going to believe tradition and history, or the uneducated gossip of fellow Believers, or the contrary teaching of men, or our natural senses or the Flesh, etc? How could a Believer be aware of and understand these scriptures and still have doubts about God's intentions?

Indeed, Jesus died on a Cross in payment of our sins and because of that God has already FORGIVEN ALL sins of all people for all time (Hebrews 9:12, 10:12). In fact, God has FORGOTTEN ALL our sins (Hebrews 8:12, 10:17). Sin has already been dealt with. As a result GRACE has been released on the earth and is already available to ALL people who will TAKE/RECEIVE it by FAITH.

What is GRACE? GRACE is the FAVOR of God. It is His EMPOWERMENT to overcome problems and accomplish whatever He's calling you to do in life including causing your PROSPERITY to MANIFEST because it pleases Him to do it. It's also UNDESERVED in that it's been made available to Believers not because of anything we've done but because of what Jesus did. In the meantime because I love God, I speak my FAITH for the things of His Kingdom, I try to live my life in agreement with His Word, I submit to the authority of His Word, I RESIST contrary opinions from the enemy and from my own Flesh and other people. I try to obey God and I do my best to put His Kingdom first in making decisions for my life. When I do these things it's NOT that God gives me His FAVOR because I done some good works, it's rather that I put myself in position to PERCEIVE AND CONNECT to the FAVOR He's ALREADY made available for anybody who'll come and take it by FAITH.

Expecting the Manifestation of God's Favor

If I know and understand all this, and if I have finally personally received the REVELATION that scripturally God's way of operating is always INCREASE AND ABUNDANCE BY FAITH, then eventually I have to come to a place where BY FAITH I ALSO EXPECT that God's FAVOR will show up continuously in my life. I'm no longer surprised when solutions for my problems suddenly appear. If I need money for something it shows up and I don't get sick as much as I used to. And it doesn't take such a long time for FAVOR and GRACE to show up like it used to. I EXPECT it to happen because I know what the Word promises and because I know that God has sworn to fulfill His Covenant and because it has happened countless times in the past.

So why is it so hard to EXPECT God's PROSPERITY to show up? It doesn't show up because of any righteous works we've performed. It doesn't show up because we haven't sinned real bad in the last few days. It's not because of luck or being in the right place at the right time. No, it's because we BELIEVED in the Truth and then we released our FAITH over it (the Truth) to put ourselves in position to perceive and connect to God's GRACE. PROSPERITY is already out there, available to Believers through GRACE by FAITH. That's the way the Kingdom of God works under the New Covenant. And eventually we come to EXPECT PROSPERITY because in the past it has manifested when we most needed it and we were able to CONNECT to it by FAITH. As our FAITH grows stronger because our knowledge and understanding of the Word is growing (Romans 10:17) and as we're faithful to use our increasing PROSPERITY the way God and His Word direct us to, then our PROSPERITY shows up CONTINUOUSLY and pretty soon we should EXPECT to live in a state of CONTINUOUS PROSPERITY keeping in mind from past articles in this series that God's purposes for His PROSPERITY are 1) to establish His Kingdom on the earth and 2) for the performance of good works.

Friend, EXPECTATION develops when we finally understand the Word and refuse to ever give up on it. Even when a tough time lingers for a while we continue to BELIEVE the Word and look for God's FAVOR to connect to. His GRACE is never too far away from a serious Believer. Just look for it in the spirit, believe that if you seek you'll find, speak directly to His FAVOR and decree boldly for it to MANIFEST to you according to whatever specific promises from the Word you've released your FAITH over, stay in the Word and refuse to stop EXPECTING that the FAVOR AND PROSPERITY of God will soon show up. If you THINK it'll show up then it's sure that it will and you can EXPECT it to happen!

Jesus I declare today with all my heart that I believe in you and that God raised you from the dead. I acknowledge that my sins have been forgiven and I ask you to come into my life today and be my Lord and Savior. Thank you for salvation and eternal life.

If you were sincere as you prayed this prayer, God has already come into your life and you are a new creation, a totally new species recreated in His image. Now ask the Lord to lead you to a good faith-based, bible-teaching church where you can be equipped to fulfill your potential in the Kingdom of God.
