THE POWER OF THANKSGIVING
Supplemental - Writing Your Vision for 2012

ATTACHMENT TO PROSPEROUS LIFE NEWSLETTER OF 1/6/12:
This is an exercise in establishing a new FINANCIAL vision for your family. It accompanies the Prosperous Life Newsletter of January 6, 2012 which you should review before trying to make your List so you'll understand what it's all about. The following steps are a suggested process but by no means are they the only way to make a Thanksgiving List.
1. Read Habakkuk 2:1-2.
Note that these verses talk about spending time with the Lord to SEE what He will speak. In this case you are asking Him to speak to you about His vision for your life during the coming year. The next scripture then says to write down that vision so you can run with it and make it come to life.
2. Sit down with your family.
Take some time with your spouse and children to check your heart, to discuss the above scriptures, to pray and talk about the following three areas with the Lord and among the family:
3. Write down the following three things:
- What you desire to give financially into the Kingdom of God in 2011
- What you owe, every debt, large or small. (Write down the principal, interest rate and
monthly payment) - What you would like to have or do personally if price/cost was of no concern
4. Hold your paper up before the Lord with your family present and do the following:
- Acknowledge the Lord as your total source.
- Thank Him for caring for you in times past.
- Ask Him to enable you to fulfill the vision you have written down.
- Claim all the funds necessary (plus some extra) to give, pay off, and do what you have
written down.
- Command the devil to take his hands off the funds you will need. Forbid him to hinder it
coming to you.
- Charge the ministering spirits to go and work swiftly to cause the funds to come in.
- Command the funds to come to you in the name of Jesus.
- Thank the Father wholeheartedly for bringing these things to pass in your life, to His
glory.
5. Take communion together as a family to seal your new covenant with the Lord.
6. Raise your expectations for yourself and SEE yourself receiving what you have
written down.
7. During the coming months release your FAITH and start THANKING God continually
for each blessing on your list BEFORE they manifest.
