BUS RAPID TRANSIT - FINAL DAYS FOR INPUT

The Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) released its Draft Environmental Impact (EIR) Report/Environmental Assessment of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) along El Camino Real and the final day to comment is January 14, 2015.  VTA is evaluating seven alternatives for providing BRT along El Camino.  The Final Design of the project will be from 2015-2016 and Construction could range from 2016-2018. For more information on the project, click here.  A draft of the EIR is also available at the City of Mountain View Public Library.

MTC - 2015 PUBLIC PLAN   

The Metropolitan Transportation Commission has released a Draft 2015 Public Participation Plan (PPP) for public review.  Comments are due by 4pm on January 12, 2015. The PPP is part of the State and Federal statutes requiring metropolitan planning organizations such as MTC to adopt participation plans to provide the public with opportunities to be involved in the transportation planning process. The Chamber's Business Issues & Public Policy (BIPP) Committee had another successful year. Members of the Chamber are able to participate in this active and engaged committee.
