SHUTTLE SERVICE APPROVED

On October 21st, City Council approved a two year pilot program for free community shuttle buses, donated by Google.  The program will begin January 2015 and will include 4 shuttles with wi-fi, running on a loop to El Camino Hospital, Shoreline Blvd. and Pear Ave. and San Antonio Shopping Center. There are to be 30 stops and they will operate between 10am - 6pm on weekdays and 12pm to 8pm on weekends and holidays. City Council will receive a full report on the performance after a year of service and will evalute any changes to be made after at least 3 months.  For information on the community shuttle, visit  City of Mountain- Public Works 

AFFORDABLE HOUSING FEES: MOUNTAIN VIEW OUTREACH
The Mountain View City Council is having an outreach meeting on November 7th. The Council will be considering increases to the Housing Impact Fees on new office, high-tech, and industrial development at a public hearing in December. Input is being sought from residents, developers, business owners, and anyone else who is interested in the fee modification.  The fee could possibly go from $10.26 per net square foot to between $20 - $25/ net square foot on building area more than 10,000 sq. ft. The outreach meeting will be November 7th from 3:30-5pm at the Plaza Conference Room at City Hall. For information, contact linda.lauzze@mountainview.com.
NFL & BAY AREA SUPER BOWL 50: BUSINESS CONNECT

The NFL and SF Bay Area's Super Bowl 50 committee have announced the launch of their Business Connect program. The program is aimed to link diverse Bay Area businesses with contracting opportunities related to Super Bowl 50.  Business Connect is open to businesses located in the 9 county Bay Area region that are certified as and be 51% owned by a: minority, woman, and/or a disabled veteran.  For information on the upcoming workshops or for more information, visit www.sfbaysuperbowl.com/busines-connect.
