Really Bad Rum Debuting at Downtown Boston Arts & Crafts Market on July 13th

The Downtown Boston Arts & Crafts Market is featuring a new vendor this week -- Doc Brown's Really Bad Rum Products.

Lee "Doc" Brown and his wife, Susan, founded Doc Brown's Really Bad Rum after years of rave reviews from friends of their moist, rum-infused rum cakes. This led Doc and Susan to create three lines of rums: Dark, Spiced and Silver, in which their Really Bad Dark rum is then used to infuse their Really Bad Rum Cake making it a very "rummy" cake. Then came their Really Bad Driftwood Smoked Barbecue Sauce to enhance the brand along with other Really Bad merchandise. Click here for the full story of the Legend of Doc Brown.

Doc Brown will be making an onsite appearance to promote and sell his "Really Bad" rum cakes and BBQ sauce at the market (sorry, alcohol sales are not allowed at the market).

"To set our products aside from all others besides taste and value, it's all about the name," said Doc Brown. "In today's society, the public knows that 'Really Bad' can mean good. No other brand has indulged in this concept of marketing until now.

Doc Brown's Really Bad Rum and other vendors will be at the Walgreens Plaza (School and Washington streets) from 11 am to 6 pm on Wednesday, July 13th and 20th. The Arts & Crafts Market is also at Walgreens Plaza from 11 am to 6 pm on Fridays.
New BID Trash Barrels Feature
Cigarette Disposal Receptacle

One of the BID's main missions is to provide a clean and welcoming Downtown Boston. With this goal in mind, the BID recently put 10 new trash barrels on the streets that feature cigarette receptacles on the top of the barrels.

"Our Ambassadors are removing trash and litter, powerwashing and often remove cigarette butts from the ground 24/7," said Anita Lauricella, Planner/Project Manager. "We noticed that there weren't enough proper receptacles for smokers to extinguish and discard their cigarette butts and these new trash barrels will provide smokers a place to toss their butts and in turn will keep streets cleaner."
