Vocal Revolution Kicked Off
Boston Harborfest in Downtown Crossing

The BID was honored to host the Vocal Revolution men's chorus, which performed in Downtown Crossing on July 1st. This was a kickoff event for Boston Harborfest.

Vocal Revolution men's chorus were the winners of WGBH's second season of "Sing That Thing" earlier this year.

They started with "The Star-Spangled Banner" and then sang barbershop-style classics like "The Bare Necessities" and "Keep Your Sunnyside Up."

Throughout the weekend BID Ambassadors handed out hundreds of American flags.

This is the first year the BID partnered with Boston Harborfest and Conventures. The BID and Conventures are planning on working together to create winter holiday events later this year.
Clover's New Restaurant on Federal Street Includes Pop-Up Space and
Rentable Conference Room

Clover, which started as a food truck in 2008, will be opening its eighth bricks-and-mortar restaurant this week at 160 Federal St. The business prides itself on using fresh and local ingredients so much that the menu changes 60% every day.

"The menu is built on what's coming out of the ground. Strawberries are in season so right now we have a strawberry broccoli sandwich, strawberry lemonade and strawberry soda," said Lucia Jazayeri, Director of Communications. "Salads and drinks change every day. We have a lot of seasonality, which gives a lot of creative ability to our chefs."

This new location is quite different than other Clover restaurants because there will be a transparent conference room that doubles as Clover's corporate office, and is available to rent for meetings. There is also a pop-up space for rent so new businesses can offer their food to customers. Customers can also quickly get salads, coffee beans and non-perishable items at a grab-and-go section in the front of the restaurant.

On Wednesday, July 6th, the new Clover location will offer a Pay What You Want Day with proceeds going to the Food Project.

Clover (160 Federal St.) is open 7 am to 10 pm Monday through Friday, 9 am to 10 pm on Saturday, and 9 am to 8 pm on Sunday.
