The Downtown Boston BID is seeking a Marketing & Brand Manager. Reporting directly to the President/Chief Executive Officer, this position will be responsible for increasing the BID's brand visibility and awareness and for promoting BID assets in making the Downtown Boston BID a premier destination. As the Brand Manager, he/she will be responsible for ensuring that the products and services provided by the BID resonate with the public with consistency and raise awareness. The Marketing & Brand Manager will serve as the point-person for developing, implementing and executing all marketing initiatives. Hilarious 'Mistero Buffo' at Modern Theatre Through March 28th
The side-splitting "Mistero Buffo" will be at the Modern Theatre through March 28th. "Mistero Buffo" is by Italian Nobel Laureate Dario Fo, and offers modern interpretations of stories from the Gospels. But this play turns these familiar tales upside down. It is directed by prize-winning director Bob Scanlan, who also created this original American translation. This play is produced in partnership with Suffolk University, and is a co-production with The Boston Poets' Theatre.

Free Movies: 'Rebel' and 'An Open Secret' from Emerson College's Bright Lights Film Series
Emerson College's Bright Lights Film Series is a free movie series that is open to the public at the Paramount Center's Bright Family Screening Room (559 Washington St.). On Tuesday, March 22nd enjoy the movie "Rebel," which is about Loreta Janeta Velazquez, a Cuban immigrant who secretly served as a soldier during the American Civil War. Showing on Thursday, March 24th will be the documentary "An Open Secret," which is about five child actors whose lives were turned upside down by multiple predators and convicted sex offenders; a panel discussion including producer Matt Valentinas will follow.

'I Now Pronounce You: Lucy Stone' at Old South Meeting House on March 25th
At "I Now Pronounce You: Lucy Stone (1818-1893)" at the Old South Meeting House, you'll learn about the first woman from Massachusetts to earn a college degree and a lifelong human rights supporter. This event is part of the Middays at the Meeting House series and will take place at 12:15 pm on Friday, March 25th. Stone demanded that her marriage vows be rewritten and refused to take her husband's surname. As a public speaker she campaigned for equal rights for women and African-Americans, inspiring many women, including Susan B. Anthony, to join the suffrage moment.

Boston Ballet's 'Kaleidoscope' at Boston Opera House Through March 26th
The Boston Ballet's latest show "Kaleidoscope" will be at the Boston Opera House through March 26th. "Kaleidoscope" is a beautiful fusion of works by 20th century masters. The program features George Balanchine's Kammermusik No. 2, the choreography of William Forsythe's The Vertiginous Thrill of Exactitude, the movement of Leonid Yakobson's Pas de Quatre and the comic exuberance of L�onide Massine's Ga�t� Parisienne. Book Discussion 'Picturing Frederick Douglass: The Most Photographed American of the 19th Century' at the
Old South Meeting House
On Tuesday, March 29th, learn about Frederick Douglass, the most photographed man of the 19th Century at the Old South Meeting House (310 Washington St.). Newly discovered photographs revealed that Douglass -- not Lincoln, Whitman or General Custer, as previously claimed -- was the most photographed American of the 19th Century. Learn from University of Nottingham Professor Zoe Trodd as she traces Frederick Douglass' visual journey from fugitive slave to elder statesman, and outlines the legacy of 160+ photographs of Douglass. Sip & Learn 'Superfoods' at
Thirst Juice Co. on March 31st
Thirst Juice Co. (44 School St. on Province Street) is hosting a Sip & Learn event about "Superfoods" on Thursday, March 31st. The term "superfood" appeared in our lexicon in the early 2000's, and since then, foods from chia seeds to bone broth have been revered as "superfoods." But what does that really mean and what's so super about these foods anyway?
Thirst Juice Co. founder Heather Stevenson will discuss the health benefits of some superfoods and introduce you to a few less well-known superfoods. You'll try some easy-to-make make food and drinks that incorporate the foods you've just learned about and receive recipes for the foods you try. This event is from 6 to 7 pm. Learn About Revolutionary Women from New Freedom Trail Tour
The Freedom Trail Foundation is piloting a new Revolutionary Women Tour, inviting visitors to discover four centuries of women who changed history from Boston. The tour is taking place on Saturdays and Sunday in March, in celebration of Women's History Month. This 90-minute tour feature tales of the early religious rebellions of Anne Hutchinson and Mary Dyer, patriotic actions of Abigail Adams and Mercy Otis Warren, abolitionist movements of Harriet Beecher Stowe and Harriet Tubman, prolific writings of authors Phillis Wheatley and Louisa May Alcott, and landmark speeches of Margaret Sanger and Susan B. Anthony. Led by 18th-century costumed guides, tours will visit the places where these women's voices were heard, their works published, and laid to rest along Boston's iconic red line.
The Revolutionary Women Tour departs from the Boston Common Visitor Information Center (139 Tremont St.) on Saturdays and Sundays in March at 12:45 pm. Freedom Trail Foundation walking tours are $14 for adults, $12 for seniors/students and $8 for children. |

24 Hours a Day in Downtown
The Downtown Boston BID Ambassadors provide hospitality services seven days a week, nearly 24 hours a day, creating a welcoming environment for everyone. BID Ambassadors provide walking escorts all day or night - they'll even tote an umbrella if it's raining or snowing!

New Government Center MBTA Station Is Now Open and Fully Accessible
Almost two years to the day that it closed for renovations, the Government Center MBTA station reopened today. Gov. Charlie Baker, Mayor Marty Walsh and MBTA officials led the opening ceremony, and also took a ride on the first Green Line train that stopped in the station.

The new station is the last of 80 MBTA stations to be fully accessible. There are new elevators and escalators connecting the Green and Blue lines. Customers can now exit the station on Cambridge Street between Court and Sudbury streets. Please note Green Line B branch trains will continue to end at Park Street to ease congestion. The Cathedral Church of St. Paul (138 Tremont St.) is offering Holy Eucharist at 8 am, 10 am and 12:30 pm (in Chinese). Click here for a full Holy Week schedule.

Park Street Church (One Park St.) is offering Easter Sunday Services at 8 am, 9:30 am, 11 am and 4 pm.
St. Anthony Shrine (100 Arch St.) is offering Easter Sunday Masses at 6 am, 7:30 am, 9 am, 10 am♫, 11:15 am♫, noon (in Spanish, 1st floor church) and 12:30 pm♫. Registration Deadline for Special State Primary is March 23rd
The registration deadline to be able to vote in the April 12th Special State Primary election is Wednesday, March 23rd at 8 pm. Individuals can register to vote either in person at City Hall's Boston Election Department, Room 241, at the City Hall to Go truck, by mail, or online here, or through the Registry of Motor Vehicles.
The April 12th Special State Primary is not a citywide election and only includes areas in Boston's 1st Suffolk and Middlesex Senate District, which includes the BID area. |

$5 UberPOOL Rides
Two Hubway stations are open in Downtown Boston -- at West and Tremont streets, and Boylston and Washington streets. Click here to learn more about Hubway and how to become a member.
Also while the MBTA ended late night service, Uber Boston is offering $5 uberPOOL rides along T subway lines during late night hours for the next three weekends.
