Platform Downtown at Boston Fashion Week, 
Othello, Cinderella and More! 

September is a hot month in the BID, and not just due to the unexpected heat wave. There are many events, something for all ages and interests -- classic cars, live theater performances, Boston Fashion Week events and more. 

This Sunday, September 20th, the 4th Annual Boston Cup Classic Car Show is taking place on the Boston Common at the Parkman Bandstand from 9 am to 2 pm
Check out amazing classic and modern cars -- as there were more than 100 classic vehicles at the 2014 event. Click here for more info and tickets.

Quench your Shakespeare desire with a live performance of "Othello" being performed by the Actors' Shakespeare Project at Suffolk University's Modern Theatre. The show is running from September 23rd through October 25th. Click

From September 27th through October 3rd the BID is hosting a series of curated events -- Platform Downtown at Boston Fashion Week. The week kicks off with an opening party not to be missed, plus fashion shows with designers like Luke Aaron and Firas Yousif debuting their 2016 lines, an Open Runway in Downtown Crossing during the middle of the day and more! Emerson College's Paramount Center has many events coming up this fall including "Ernest Shackleton Loves Me," a geeky, high-tech musical adventure and time-traveling love affair running from September 20th through October 4th. Also, at the Paramount from September 22nd through October 18th is "Mr. Joy," a play about a Harlem community's transformation from pain to power following an attack on a Chinese-American resident named Mr. Joy. Not to be forgotten (kind of like the eponymous star) is Broadway in Boston's Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella at the Boston Opera House running September 29th through October 11th. Click here for tickets and more info.
