Redesigned Downtown Boston BID Flower Kiosk Now Offers Maps to Go and More

The Downtown Boston BID recently redesigned its flower kiosk at the intersection of Summer/Winter and Washington streets. The kiosk now includes BID maps for distribution, flower decals, logos and wayfinding maps. GT Florists operates the flower shop as a vendor for the BID.

Brian Pearce of OmLoop designed the installation to complement the BID's wayfinding program. Bluebird Graphic Solutions fabricated the installation. The flower decals can be changed seasonally if desired.

"They did a wonderful job working with us throughout the process to make sure we created an installation that is both functional and beautiful," said Anita Lauricella, BID Planner/Project Manager.

The goal of the redesign is to provide a system of maps and kiosks that add to our "on the street, in person" ambassador program.

"We want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable as they navigate Downtown Boston," added Lauricella.
