Thank You Millennium Partners For Your Gift to the City

After years of public interest and anticipation, the Burnham Building (the former Filene's site) finally opened its doors this week to its first office tenants, AOL

Millennium Partners' Principal of Development and BID Board Member Joe Larkin, above middle, was all smiles as tenants arrived early on Monday. The building is also now lit up at night, seen below.

On behalf of the people of Boston, the Downtown Boston BID would like to thank Millennium Partners for its tireless work in leading the $125-million restoration of the Burnham Building, and street improvements to Summer Street. We also want to thank Suffolk Construction, New England Restoration, and all of the construction workers for their efforts in making this week's opening possible. Countless hours, especially with many people working around the clock this past weekend, went into the final touches and details.

Restoration of the Burnham Building is ongoing with more tenants moving in soon, including a Roche Bros. supermarket in 2015, as seen above, and Primark coming later in 2015. Stay tuned for more major happenings out of the Burnham Building in next week's newsletter.
