'Whitey Bulger: The Making of a Monster' Screening with Producer Susan Gray
Enjoy a free screening of "Whitey Bulger: The Making of a Monster" with producer Susan Gray on Tuesday, March 11th at Emerson College's Paramount Center.
Learn about the Boston Irish mafia boss who was captured after 16 years on the FBI's Most Wanted list in 2011 in Santa Monica, CA.
This screening is a part of the Bright Lights series, which are free and open to the public. They are all in the Bright Family Screening Room in the Paramount Center at 559 Washington St., and start at 7 pm. Click here for more info.

Hydrostat Testing Pool at Barry's Bootcamp Will Tell You Your Body Fat
Did you know that a hydrostatic pool is regarded as the best way to determine your body fat? And for two days, Barry's Bootcamp is offering the opportunity to not only learn your body fat percentage, but other important health information, too.
Check out Barry's Bootcamp (30 Chauncy St.) on Friday, March 14th and Saturday, March 15th from 8 am to 8 pm. Please bring a bathing suit and a towel. Learn more about hydrostatic pools here. Freedom Trail Foundation to Benefit from Dine Out Boston - March 16-21 & 23-28

Emerson College Opens Beautiful Los Angeles Campus
The 10-story structure, designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Thom Mayne, can house up to 217 students, includes wired classrooms, an open-air screening, a live-performance space, a Dolby Surround 7.1 audio post-production suite, a screening room, computer labs, mixing suites, and a planned green screen motion capture stage.

The Merchant's Opening Creates Buzz in Downtown
The Merchant has barely been open for a week and it's already garnered rave reviews and media attention.
Zagat's Boston reviewed the American brasserie at 60 Franklin St., saying, "...Chef (Matt) Foley clearly packed an A-game for his move to The Merchant." Foley was the former sous chef at Cambridge's Craigie on Main. The review added, "The Merchant is likely to exceed expectations" and "...Foley is hawking some seriously good food..."
"The public has really responded to having a go-to spot in the area for dining and drinks, and really appreciate the fact that they can have somewhere to eat late night," said co-owner Shane Smyth.

Your Opinions Wanted for New Downtown Boston BID Wayfinding System
The Downtown Boston BID's comprehensive wayfinding system is now being tested - and we need your help on the tests maps!
The new maps being tested are in two locations in the district: One is temporarily at 36 Arch St., and will move across the street to its permanent at the intersection of Chauncy and Summer streets (on the Macy's side of the street); The other test map is on Washington Street around the corner from the Macy's entrance at Washington and Summer streets.
Both test maps have a sticker asking for comments to be sent to info@bostonbid.org.

Are you or someone you know looking for a job? How about being a Downtown Boston BID Ambassador? Block by Block, the company that employs our ambassadors is looking to hire more ambassadors.
There are full-time and part-time opportunities available, as well as early morning, day, and night shifts.
BID Ambassadors perform a variety of work, including removing litter and graffiti in the district, shoveling crosswalks and handicapped ramps, helping visitors find their way, and more. Click here to apply online.

Stoddard's Fun Run to Benefit Team With A Vision on March 19th
Stoddard's Fine Food and Ale is hosting a Fun Run & Session Beers fundraiser for Team With a Vision to raise money for the Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired. The race costs $10 to enter and people can register by clicking here. All funds raised will support the services of the Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired.

AMC Classics Showing 'Chicago' and 'The Grapes of Wrath' at Boston Common 19
See a classic black and white film on the big screen for the first time, as a young Henry Fonda stars in the 1940 classic "The Grapes of Wrath" as part of AMC Loews Boston Common 19's Classics Series.
Boston's AMC Classics series features old and new classic movies like the Oscar-winning "Chicago" being shown on March 12th. "The Grapes of Wrath" is being shown on March 16th and 19th.

Candidate for Governor Juliette Kayyem Speaking for Free at Suffolk University
The Rappaport Institute's Roundtable discussion series with the candidates for Massachusetts governor ends on Wednesday, March 19th with Juliette Kayyem (Democrat).
All of the roundtable discussions are free and open to the public, but registration is required. For more information and to register click here.
The event takes places at Suffolk Law School's Sargent Hall at 120 Tremont St., in the Function Room on the 1st Floor. This event is from noon to 1:30 pm. A complimentary lunch will be served.
