Opinions Wanted: New Downtown Boston BID Wayfinding System Being Tested

The first phase of the Downtown Boston BID's comprehensive way finding system are now being tested.

The new maps being tested are in two locations in the district: One is temporarily at 36 Arch St., and will move across the street to its permanent at the intersection of Chauncy and Summer streets (on the Macy's side of the street); The other test map is on Washington Street around the corner from the Macy's entrance at Washington and Summer streets.

Both test maps have a sticker asking for comments to be sent to [email protected], and the BID will use social media to actively solicit comments. In addition, BID Ambassadors are keeping an eye out for how visitors and residents like the maps.

The two maps will be tested for about a month and depending on how they are received, the Downtown Boston BID will consider replacing all the JC Decaux city maps in the district later in the spring.

Odessa offers many services including fixing zippers, rubber soles, leather restoration, some dying, as well as jacket and pocketbook repairs. The cost to repair a pair of shoes can range from $25 to $68.
