Fine Wine Returns To Hyatt Regency: August Winemakers' DinnerThis Thursday, August 22nd, at 5:30 pm, the Hyatt Regency celebrates its ongoing Neighborhood Event Series and the fine stretch of late-summer weather with its August Winemakers' Dinner. This week's featured winemaker is Sanford Vineyards, of Lompoc, California. Dinner attendees will enjoy five thoughtfully chosen pours, each paired with an exquisite culinary creation. FroZenYo Celebrates Grand Opening
Downtown's sweet spot continues to grow! FroZenYo, the DIY frozen yogurt shop, opened its first franchise in the Northeast last Friday with a grand ribbon-cutting celebration attended by Mayor Thomas M. Menino and Attorney General Martha Coakley.
Owned and operated by Matt Combs (above center) FroZenYo occupies 2,000 sq. ft. at the historic Old Corner Bookstore building, and employs 15. It is open until 10 pm daily. call 617-248-0252 for more info.

Ready For Take Two: "The Equalizer" Finishes Winter Place Filming
After two excitement-filled days last week, producers have finished shooting Denzel Washington's spy thriller "The Equalizer" on Winter Place (below).
The cameras get ready for action again on September 5th, with a full day of filming scheduled on West Street (rescheduled from August 28th). Please contact 617-817-5121 with questions or concerns.

Art Overhead: Windbanners Sparkle DowntownThe Downtown Boston BID's latest public art installation takes advantage of the spectacular late-summer weather! Designed by Ross Miller to catch and reflect sunlight, Mylar windbanners were installed at the intersection of Tremont & Winter St. (above) and mid-block on Temple Pl. The pieces will stay up through the end of October.

Art On The Common: "Hot Ideas For A Cooler Planet"
After checking out the dazzling windbanners, cross Tremont St. to see some very "Cool Globes"!
Located along the Tremont St. side of the Common, the "Cool Globes: Hot Ideas For A Cooler Planet" traveling display features more than 25 globes designed to raise awareness about global warming. Cool Globes will be on-display through Tuesday, October 15th. For an online gallery, visit here.

Fit To Launch: Barry's Bootcamp Hollywood favorite Barry's Bootcamp is coming to downtown Boston! The highly-popular cardio fitness gym, which has become a celebrity destination, is scheduled to open its first New England location on Saturday, September 14th. The gym will occupy 5,000 sq. ft. at street-level at 30 Chauncy St. Keep reading for future updates on the grand-opening celebration and related promotions.

Kingston-Bedford Traffic Island Reconstruction Update
The Kingston-Bedford Traffic Island reconstruction project, a collaboration by the Downtown Boston BID, BRA, and BTD, is now well underway.

Restaurant Week Arrives In Downtown
Make your reservation now! Summer Restaurant Week officially began Sunday. Downtown hotspots including 49 Social, Artisan Bistro, Avenue One, Back Deck, Marliave, Ruth's Chris Steak House, and Oceanaire are participating in the annual event, which features special prix-fixe menus. The dining extravaganza rusn through August 30th, although many restaurants "unofficially" extend their Restaurant Week menus into September.
