Utility Work Updates: Ave. de Lafayette, Winter Street

Two utility work projects are scheduled for this weekend in the Downtown Crossing area. On Saturday, August 10th, from 8 am-3:30 pm, Comcast will be excavating outside 47 Winter St. Contact [email protected] for more info.

Public Meeting: Boston Common Visitor Info Center Plaza

On Thursday, August 15th, at 6 pm, at Emerson College's Bordy Theater (216 Tremont St.), the City of Boston's Parks & Recreation Dept. and Office of Neighborhood Services will host a public meeting regarding a landscaping improvement plan for the Boston Common Visitor Info Center Plaza.

The meeting will focus on the history and assessment of the site, with recommendations to be addressed at a future session. contact 617-961-3028 for more info.

A "Wicked" Hot Ticket: Lottery Policy
For Broadway Blockbuster

"Wicked," the smash-hit Broadway musical that playfully reinterprets the "Wizard of Oz," opens at the Boston Opera House this Wednesday, August 7th, for a five-week run.

In response to "Wicked"'s amazing popularity, Broadway in Boston has instituted a daily ticket lottery for the show. Contestants must appear at the Boston Opera House two-and-a-half hours prior to each night's performance in order to enter. "Wicked" performs through Sunday, September 15th.
