Suit Drive At Men's Wearhouse Benefiting St. Francis House

Men's Wearhouse (32 Summer St.) is running its 6th annual National Suit Drive to help provide suits for men transitioning back into the workforce who need professional attire.

Drop off gently-used suits at Men's Wearhouse through Wednesday, July 31st, in order to participate. Some of the suits collected will help outfit St. Francis House's MAP students; call 617-542-4211 for more info.

Fundraising At 2013 "Over The Edge" Reaches New Heights

This past weekend's "Over the Edge" fundraiser
, hosted at the Hyatt Regency Boston, continued its great success of prior years.

The third-annual event was comprised of seventeen teams, representing more than 100 participants, rappelling down the side of the 22-story Hyatt Regency. The event raised an incredible $173,000 for Massachusetts Special Olympics. Many thanks and congratulations to the Hyatt--in addition to hosting "Over The Edge" for the third year in a row, the hotel's "Hyatt Helpers" fundraising team raised $11,000! 
Summer Restaurant Week Just One Month Away

One of downtown's great summer pastimes is just a month away! This year's summer Restaurant Week runs from August 18th to August 30th.

A New Site For St. Anthony Shrine

St. Anthony Shrine (100 Arch St.) recently unveiled its new digital look. Their rebranding effort includes a new logo and redesigned website (below).

The new site features a slideshow, highlights recent blog posts about the shrine's activities, links to their Facebook page, and a reorganized navigation bar. You can learn more about the church's numerous events on their revamped weekly calendar page.

Café De Boston Expands

Financial District favorite Café De Boston has announced plans to expand into the former Souper Salad space at 75-101 Federal St.

According to owner Levent Berksan, the popular eatery will expand into an additional 6,000 sq. ft. of space and hire 10 new employees. The expansion is set to debut in September (the preexisting restaurant will remain open throughout construction). Congratulations!
Banker's Row Grows Along Franklin St.

Across the street from the upcoming Café de Boston expansion, Wellesley Bank will be opening its first downtown branch on the Franklin Street side of One Federal Street.

The branch, Wellesley Bank's fourth, and first outside of Wellesley, will occupy 3,000 sq. ft. and employ 10. We welcome the newest bank to Franklin Street's thriving "banker's row"!

Artisan Bistro Introduces Picnic

As the heat subsides, Artisan Bistro has added new options to its menu--picnic baskets to-go.
