"Future Of Boston's Financial District" Panel Discussion

Capitalizing on intense interest in the Financial District's ongoing transformation, Bisnow is hosting a panel session on the "Future of Boston's Financial District" on Thursday, July 25th, from 7-10 am.

The event includes Harold Brown, Chairman of Hamilton Co., who will soon be opening Hamilton Crossing (8 Winter St.), John Rutledge, President of Oxford Capital Group, who will be opening the Godfrey Hotel (59 Temple Pl.) in 2014, and Mark Smith, Managing Director of EOP-Boston. Of Verona," Outside The Box Festival

Through the rest of July, the Boston Common comes alive with two free theater festivals--one a perennial classic, the other an inaugural first!

Now in its 18th season, the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company's opened its three-week run of "The Two Gentlemen Of Verona," last Saturday night at the Parkman Bandstand (above). Outside The Box

Cakeology Opening Storefront On Washington St.

Yummy news: Cakeology, the popular downtown cake shop, is expanding its presence. Owner
Victoria Donnelly opened the original location at
45 Province
in August 2011 after appearing as a contestant on the Food Network's "Cupcake Wars." 

Cakeology 292 Washington St

Donnelly plans to convert the 45 Province store into a kitchen-only space, where passersby can watch the Cakeology team create their award-winning confections. The new, retail-only space (above) is set to open later this summer at 292 Washington St.

30 Winter St.


Sovereign/Santander Bank (30 Winter St.) continues its nationwide rebranding with renovations
to its lobby space. The bank remains open throughout the renovations, which should be completed soon.

Like Fine Wine: Hyatt Hosts
Chapoutier Vineyards At Special Dinner

The Hyatt Regency Boston continues its summer-long Neighborhood Event Series celebration with its second Winemakers' Dinner. Featuring guest speaker Pierre-Adrien Fleurant of Chapoutier Vineyards, based in France's legendary Rh�ne Valley wine-growing region, the dinner will be hosted next Thursday, July 18th, at 5:30 pm.

Hyatt Winemakers Event Hyatt Food

Fleurant, Chapoutier's Export Director, joins the Hyatt's longtime Executive Chef, Kelly Armetta, to pair each of the five selected varietals with an "exquisite" culinary creation. Twenty percent of proceeds go to the Boston Children's Hospital.

"At Ease" Marches In To Modern Theatre

"At Ease," Suffolk University's innovative and groundbreaking wartime drama, returns to the
Modern Theatre
this weekend for a two-night run.

The result of a unique collaborative process featuring Suffolk University student-actors paired with actual military veterans, "At Ease" debuted at the Modern last fall. Admission is free, with donations accepted at the door to benefit a scholarship for academically qualified student-veterans.
