Making Plans For The Fourth? Here Is What's Happening Downtown:

Downtown Boston, where the American Revolution was ignited, comes
alive next week with a wide variety of Fourth of July-related celebrations.

The Downtown Boston BID is hosting the Amadeus Chorale, a community youth chorale, on Summer St. outside Macy's on July 5th, at 5 pm. 

King's Chapel, Old State House, and Old South Meeting House are hosting historical-themed tours and activities daily from July 2nd-July 7th. Highlights include the traditional Reading of the Declaration of Independence from the Old State House balcony, on July 4th, at 10 am, as well as A Night In The King's Chapel Graveyard, hosted on July 2nd and July 5th at 7:30 pm.

The annual Boston Harborfest celebration also takes place next week, with celebrations on City Hall Plaza July 3rd-6th. For more Harborfest info, visit here.
 

CSC On The Common  

As Fourth of July week closes, the curtain rises on downtown's Annual Shakespeare On The Common free performance series (above). This year's play, "The Two Gentlemen Of Verona," opens July 6th on the Common at 8 pm for a three-week run. Back Deck restaurant has created a special picnic lunch menu for the show, including a starter/side and dessert. Call 617-670-0320 for more info.
